oh god, these are so brilliant. they are the games i got into the most, the chili peppers of gaming if you will. back in the day i used to go to my friend's house occasionally, and he always had the latest gadgets. this will have been about 2000-01 so the playstation will already have been round a while, but i didn't know that, i was just happy to get 30 minutes playing the start of ff8. when the only games you knew about were little pixillated snes games, the graphics on that game were really something.

it was a wonderful experience: that classic opening scene, the mindblowing music, the way you could move your character and he looked like a human ( well, more human than mario or link ). my senses were flooded. i had dreams about ff8. i saved up for months to buy a playstation. i listened to all the music from the game by downloading midis from vgmusic.com. ff7 and 9 came later for me, maybe i should leave that part till later so there's a better chance of someone reading it all and giving a shit.

I never caught onto final fantasy, I played one of the games once and didn't know what i was doing so got bored. Though it's a big deal for some people, maybe you should nominate it for the election thingy

yeah, it is a big deal. i never got into it. aren't there like 50 different ones though? there are so many, and they make like 4 a year for all diiferent consoles. hear it pretty good though

Final Fantasy is one of those game series where ive always been meaning to buy a game, but ive never got round it

but you don't...

the games aren't all that hard, once you get the system. and the systems aren't difficult really. the best thing is the battle system is different for every game.

and most of them really are worth buying just for the music.
